Meet our Teachers
Great teachers can teach in a tent, yet many schools invest heavily in facilities. At ACC, we believe in featuring our teachers not our buildings. Please click on the photos below for a brief introduction from each teacher.
Originally a Secondary Science Teacher, Brendan is a graduate of UTS, Deakin and Regent College, Canada. While Deputy Principal at Pacific Hills for 12 years, Brendan also led the NSW Christian Schools Australia registration system. Brendan’s faith is grounded in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a deep knowledge of God’s Word. Married for over 30 years, Brendan and Kim have 4 adult children. On the weekends, Brendan enjoys cycling (but he enjoys coffee with his mates afterwards slightly more).
Ross is the Deputy Principal of Australian Christian College – Marsden Park. Ross is a passionate educator with a broad range of experience in schools. His previous appointments have included Cherrybrook Technology High School, Barker College (where he served for 12 years), Wesley College and Northholm Grammar School. Ross has four children and his eldest son is studying at ADFA in Canberra. On the weekends Ross enjoys bike ride and bushwalking.
Head of Secondary
Peter completed a Bachelor of Education at The University of Sydney before moving to the Hunter Region, where he taught for 12 years. In addition to teaching, Peter also worked for the Department of Juvenile Justice, convening conferences for young offenders. During this time in the Hunter Peter met his wife Ellen and together they have two young girls. On the weekends, he enjoys spending time with his family, church, fishing, the beach and cricket.

Barb joined Australian Christian College in 2012 with a Degree in Applied Science and post-graduate qualifications in Teaching, specialising in Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Science. Barb is also qualified by Work Cover for OH&S in the workplace. Barb has been teaching for 18 years following a research career in industry and medicine. She entered teaching due to her desire to serve the next generation. Barb worships at St John’s Anglican Church at Wilberforce.
Primary Team Leader
Jess completed her Bachelor of Education at the University of Technology Sydney. Jess is passionate about giving every child in her class an equal opportunity and watching them reach their goals. She attends St Paul's Anglican Church Castle Hill and loves leading a young women’s bible study. Jess likes to take joy in the little things and spends her weekends with her nose in a book and the occasional painting project.
Caitlin is the literacy coordinator at ACC Marsden Park. Prior to her current role, she taught Kindergarten at ACC and spent time living in Auckland. Whilst in New Zealand, Caitlin was able to spend time studying literacy, which is her area of passion in education. In her spare time, Caitlin loves playing piano, spending time with her husband and taking long walks. She also loves leading the toddlers program at her local church.
Anji Smith completed a degree in science before moving into mission work with her husband and children in Asia. After ten years in mission work, Anji returned to Australia and worked in the science labs of Rouse Hill Anglican College. During that time she was recognised for her teaching ability and encouraged to complete a Grad Dip Ed in Education. Outside school, Anji renovates Vintage Caravans.
Ben completed a Bachelor of Education (Physical and Health Education) at the Australian College of Physical Education in 2010 and has been teaching since. Ben teaches Year 6 English, Year 7 and 8 PDHPE as well as PE for Kindergarten, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3. Like the quintessential sports teacher, Ben enjoys all sports, but rugby union and cricket are his favourites. Ben attends Northmead Anglican Church and enjoys spending time with his wife outside school.
Ben is the Chaplain at ACC Marsden Park. Sydney-born and educated in the United States, Ben has a Bachelor’s degree in Bible and a Masters of Divinity and has served in several local churches for over 15 years. Ben is senior pastor at Rouse Hill Bible Church in northwest Sydney. With nine young children (and an excellent wife), life is noisy but joyful. Interests include sports, music, reading, Apple products and home improvements.
Brenda works as a SWD teacher across K to 12 at Australian Christian College. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and also a Masters degree in Special Education. Her favourite bible verse is Philippians 4:13 - “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (ESV). Her desire is for all of the students at ACC to know that God created them just the way they were meant to be - with no mistakes!
Brittany completed a Bachelor of Dance Education at the Australian College of Physical Education where she studied her two main passions; sport and dance. She later completed a Masters in Special Education. Brittany is passionate about helping students strive to be their best and is grateful for the chance to share the love of Christ with students. Brittany worships at Emmanuel Baptist Church and on the weekends plays netball, works out or spends time with loved ones.
Daniel completed his tertiary education at Macquarie University in 2013. He enjoys most sports, reading, good food and the beach on a hot summer’s day. Daniel attends St Paul's Castle Hill and serves in a variety of ministries, including leading a young adults bible study. He is passionate about History and would love to see students share this passion. Daniel enjoys witnessing students grow in Christ and personally encounter God.
Dave has been working as a music teacher, guitar tutor, musical director and performer for 10 years. Before which he was a youth worker with Wesley Mission in Sydney. His major areas of interest are in contemporary performance and the pedagogy of contemporary music (the latter of which is now forming the basis of a PhD). Dave is enjoying his time at ACC and looks forward to expanding the music program in the years to come.
Deb grew up in upstate New York as the youngest of four children. She completed her Bachelor of Education (Hons) in 2007. Deb takes great delight in seeing children build up confidence and develop key academic skills as they enter their formal schooling years. Deb is happily married and on the weekends you would find her spending time with her young son, teaching in church or enjoying a Body Attack class at her gym.
Debbie has been with Australian Christian College since its early days. She has Bachelor degrees in Arts and Teaching (Secondary) specialising in Technology and is currently studying a Masters of Education. Deb has been married for 22 years with 4 children. Deb’s passion is teaching Technology, including Food and Textiles. During school holidays, Deb regularly serves on overseas mission trips. Deb enjoys participating in music and women’s ministries at her local church.
Don has been teaching at the school since 2007 and has a Master of Education degree, Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies and a Diploma in Teaching. Don is married with three children and six grandchildren. At ACC Don teaches Year 1 to Year 6 online. He also teaches Bible for Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 online. When not at school he enjoys spending time with family, listening to music and playing Xbox with his son-in-law. Don attends Northmead Anglican Church.
Di completed her education degree in the United States in 1998. Her first teaching position was in the American public schools sector. During that time she was able to work with students from a wide range of cultures and ability levels. This formative experience gave her a passion for seeing students grow in their love for Maths. She recently completed a Masters in Education while also managing a busy household with nine children.
Emma completed her Bachelor of Arts with a Diploma of Education at Macquarie University and has taught English and History at ACC since 2013. Her passion is in seeing her students reach their individual goals. Emma enjoys spending her time outside of school with family and friends or reading a novel. She attends St Paul's Castle Hill and enjoys being a part of different ministries and short-term mission trips, the most recent of which was to Fiji.
Emma completed her Bachelor of Secondary Education/Bachelor of Arts at The University of Sydney with a double major in Performance Studies and English. Before teaching at ACC, Emma had been involved in a variety of theatrical productions, both in Sydney and New York. Emma feels eternally blessed and humbled to be given the opportunity to continue her Christian ministry through education in the Humanities and Arts. She’s also a passionate reader of classic English literature.
Julia completed her Bachelor of Education with a major in Mathematics at The University of Sydney. She is passionate about mathematics and seeing students have their confusion turn into understanding with different concepts. She works hard with students to see them improve. Julia also enjoys staying active through physical activity, cooking and spending time with loved ones. Julia attends Epping Church of Christ and loves building relationships with the youth and young adults.
Lachlan is a relational educator who is committed to creating authentic learning experiences, requiring his students to think deeply about actual problems which they will have to deal with growing up in the 21st Century. He aims to create fun and engaging learning environments that help his students to understand that failure is just a stage of learning. On the weekends, Lachlan is a keen sprinter and his favourite event is the 100 metres.
Lesley-Ann completed her Bachelor of Education (Physical & Health Education) in 2007. She enjoys a variety of sports including netball, athletics, touch footy and soccer. Lesley-Ann teaches years 7 to 12 PDHPE, PASS and Sport at ACC Marsden Park. Lesley-Ann is passionate about equipping her students with the skills needed to make better informed decisions about their health and wellbeing. Other than sport, Lesley-Ann loves spending time with her husband and two children.
Tim completed a Bachelor of Health Science (PDHPE) at Western Sydney University and then went on to complete a Master of Teaching (Primary) at University of New England. At Australian Christian College, Tim loves to grow and develop young people in all aspects of life but especially through team sport. Outside of school, Tim loves to ride his bike and explore new cafes. Tim currently attends Norwest Anglican Church where he is actively involved in music ministry.
Lyndall completed a Bachelor of Teaching/ Bachelor of Arts (Technology) at Australian Catholic University. Lyndall is a passionate teacher of Design & Technology and Industrial Technology Multimedia. In her time outside of school she enjoys sewing dresses, drawing and seeing live musical performances. Lyndall also enjoys playing the violin and the electric guitar and is part of a local symphony orchestra. On the weekends Lyndall lets her inner tiger roar in various martial arts classes.
Maddy completed a Bachelor of Arts with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in English and Drama. She is passionate about helping teenagers believe in their unique abilities and guiding them to achieve their very best. Maddy loves helping to shape the culture of the school in how she interacts with the students. Her interests include escaping to the beach, exploring new cafes, drinking coffee, reading, watching the newest Netflix drama and being active.
Natasha (Tash) grew up in Sydney with two sisters and a brother. She became a Christian shortly after completing her HSC school year. Tash completed a teaching degree at the University of NSW with an emphasis on English, Literature & Theatre. After finishing her degree she took a gap year to work as a fulltime missionary on university campuses. Tash loves working with students who don’t fit inside the box and she loves to engage students through drama and the arts.
Head of Student Services
Paulle plays an important role in shaping the spiritual and emotional culture of the school as Head of Student Services. She has been actively involved in education since the late 1970s. The hallmark of her role is her genuine love and care for students and the members of the school community. Originally from Sydney, Paulle, and her late husband Frank, have five adult children. On weekends, Paulle enjoys spending time with her growing tribe of grandchildren.
Ralph has been teaching at the school since 2007 and has a Bachelor of Education (Primary) specialising in PDHPE. Ralph is a graduate of ACC Marsden Park and has returned after university. Ralph teaches years 5 and 6 Maths, Science and year 5 PDHPE. When not at school Ralph enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, playing sports and being involved in church activities. Ralph attends Fellowship Baptist Church in Blacktown.
Emily was the children’s minister at my local church before being a teacher. She has a Bachelor of Theology and a Masters of Primary teaching. I love kids and sharing the gospel with them. I see the classroom to be the best place to see all the different personalities, talents and imaginations of students. When I’m not teaching I love to dance (currently doing tap dance), play sport, cook, scrapbook, sew and hang out at the beach.
Beck completed her Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) in 2003. She has a passion for young children, which led to the call of teaching. Beck is a busy mum of 3 children who also attend the college. She feels extremely blessed to be teaching across the primary school at the Australian Christian College. Beck attends Vineyard Church and loves cooking in the cafe. In her spare time Beck relaxes by reading, watch movies and seeing friends.
After completing her B. Design in Architecture at UTS, Sarah found a passion in the field of design and construction. During her three years in the industry, she had a desire to be reconnected with people which led her to complete a Masters of Teaching (Secondary) at Excelsior College. Sarah is excited to be a part of a community which strives to honour Christ. She attends St Paul’s Castle Hill where she is involved in youth ministry.
Selena completed her Bachelor of Education (Primary) in 2011. She has a passion for young children, which led to teaching. Selena is excited that she can be a part of their learning at school and their growth in Christ. Selena feels extremely blessed to be teaching a primary school class at Australian Christian College. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new places with her husband, taking photos of God’s beautiful creation and solving puzzles.
Sharon Le Grange
Sharon teaches science at ACC Marsden Park and she loves seeing how students learn and grow through experiments and hands on activities. She has university degrees in both Chemistry and Teaching. Sharon is a gardening enthusiast and spends a lazy Sunday afternoon pottering around her garden. Sharon also leads the K-5 kids program at her church and really loves seeing young children grow in their knowledge and love of Jesus.
Shelby completed a Bachelor of Arts (Modern History & Music) in 2013 and a Master of Teaching in 2015 at The University of Sydney. She grew up as a ‘pastor’s kid’ and it is her prayer that she can be a similar role model as her parents to the children she teaches. Shelby attends Logos Christian Church and serves in the orchestra. She has 10 nephews and 3 nieces and is known as “Auntie B” by them.
Shelley began as an Early Childhood Teacher where she fell in love with teaching young children. She has travelled to many destinations around the world with a fond interest in culture, history and language. Shelley is a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who aims to create a classroom environment that encourages all learners to ‘have a go’ and challenge themselves. Shelley enjoys gardening, baking and spending time with family and friends on the weekends.
Kate completed her Bachelor of Arts with a Bachelor of Education (Primary) in 2016. She has a passion for working with children and encourages her students to strive to reach their full potential. She believes that this approach is all encompassing and extends beyond the classroom into cocurricular activities, development of health and wellbeing and building a biblical foundation in Christ. As a young mum, Kate understands what it means to survive on coffee and 3 hours sleep.
Werner is a Primary Teacher with over 16 years of experience on three continents. He gained his teaching qualifications in South Africa, then moved to the UK where he taught in a variety of schools before emigrating to Australia. He loves to see children grow in confidence and does this by reminding them of who they are in Christ. Werner enjoys teaching sport and is a keen mountain bike rider. He attends Hillsong Church: Hills Campus.
Will has been with Australian Christian College since 2009 and has a Diploma in Education (Secondary) along with a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering. He teaches Mathematics, as well as Industrial Technology Multimedia. Will also helps run an extracurricular robotics class and mentors students in the “Lego League” competition each year. Will enjoys spending time on the weekends with his wife capturing photos as well as exploring the Australian landscape.
Rachel grew up in Auckland as the oldest of three girls. She moved to Australia in 2001 and has loved getting to know the Sydneysiders she considers family through church, university and work. Rachel is a passionate teacher who genuinely loves children. She completed a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education at the University of New South Wales and appreciates time with her husband. On the weekends, you’ll find her reading God’s word and playing with her baby.
