Locks for Lockers

Secondary students will now be required to supply their own locks if the one they currently possess gets lost or broken. Please note that students must keep their lockers locked at all times when not being accessed.

From time-to-time students accidentally collect items of school clothing that belongs to another student. The most common articles are sports jackets, hats, jumpers and school blazers. Please check labels to see if your child is in possession of another student's clothing. We also strongly encourage families to write names on all labels so that they can be returned if lost.

CSSA MetWest Primary Zone Athletics Carnival

The Zone carnival started as a cold and wet day with a less than favorable forecast. After announcements and prayers, the rain stopped and not long after the sun shone brightly. There were patches of blue sky and warm weather which helped the day run smoothly.

Our athletes showed great promise and enthusiasm on and off the field, with some great achievements by the Owusu sisters, Chelsea and Georgia, Kyan Case and our senior primary relay team. A huge congratulations to all students who attended and participated to the best of their ability.

It was very encouraging to see so many parents come out and support our athletes and boost school morale and spirit. It was also a privilege to see our students come down and cheer and encourage each other on the day.

The following students qualified for the CSSA primary athletics carnival on Friday 19th August.

  • Chelsea Owusu made it for the 8yr girls 100m, 200m and 400m
  • Georgia Owusu made it for the 10yr girls 100m, 200m, 400m and Junior(8-10yrs) girls Long Jump
  • Angeline Smith made it for Junior (8-10yr) girls discus
  • Jonathan Ojo made it for 12yr boys Shot put.

On Thursday, June 30 our Foundation class enjoyed a teddy bear-filled day to celebrate our learning topics for the term. The children used their writing skills earlier in the week to create an invitation for their soft toy, which they brought along to the special day. The day was spent making teddy bear crafts; hunting for bears; dancing and singing about teddy bears; counting, measuring and sorting teddy bears; and reading and listening to many wonderful bear stories! Our Teddy Bears' Picnic was the final celebration of the day, which built on our discussions on healthy eating. It was a special and memorable day for the Foundation class.
