Locks for Lockers

Secondary students will now be required to supply their own locks if the one they currently possess gets lost or broken. Please note that students must keep their lockers locked at all times when not being accessed.

From time-to-time students accidentally collect items of school clothing that belongs to another student. The most common articles are sports jackets, hats, jumpers and school blazers. Please check labels to see if your child is in possession of another student's clothing. We also strongly encourage families to write names on all labels so that they can be returned if lost.

Trading of swap cards, toys and food

We ask parents and guardians to be aware that students are not allowed to trade swap cards (Pokemon, Dragonball Z, football cards etc), toys and/or food at school.

Netball NSW Schools Cup Gala Day

On Wednesday, we had two teams from ACC representing our school at the Netball NSW Schools Cup Gala Day, held in Penrith. Our teams were comprised of students from years 5, 6, 7 and 8.

Our students had a wonderful day and played exceptionally well. Although we played in the Non-Competitive rounds, our students gave their very best efforts, with our Primary team coming away with 4 wins (from 5 games) and our High School team with 3 wins (also from 5 games). Such a fantastic achievement!

A huge thank you and congratulations to our students for participating in the day and representing our school so well. We are so very proud of the efforts and the attitude of each and every one of them.

Thank you also to our supportive parents who came along to cheer for our students- you were a great encouragement for them all.

Watoto Children’s Choir

On Tuesday, June 7 we had the great privilege of hosting the Watoto Children’s Choir. Primary and secondary students attended the event and we were very pleased that a number of our Distance Education students were also able to attend along in addition to parents and guardians of our on-campus students.

The choir treated the school to one of its exciting, high energy performances which it has become famous for. It included song and dance to contemporary African music which was complemented by traditional costumes worn by the children.

The Watoto Children’s Choir was started as a response to the overwhelming number of orphaned children and vulnerable women in Africa, whose lives had been ravaged by war and disease. Now, the choir travel as advocates for the millions of vulnerable women and children across Africa and to share the vision of Watoto. The mission of Watoto is to RESCUE the vulnerable, and RAISE each one as a leader, so that they in turn will REBUILD their nation.

1 John 3:1 says: “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are”. In 2016, Watoto brings you the triumphant story of children who were once orphans. Through worship music the children share their journeys to redemption and demonstrate that God desires to be a loving father to all mankind.
