WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND OUR SCHOOL?

1.  We are a Christian school.  We believe in the historic truths of Christianity and the application of truth to our society and culture.   We pray that every student can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is evidenced by a love for God and each other.

2. We are committed to the learning process.  Every student has different strengths and weaknesses.  Our students are taught to engage the learning process in the arts and through the classic scientific method.  We believe that the best opportunities occur within a loving, inclusive environment.  We believe that good citizens should be courteous and respectful.  Bullying is not tolerated in the school.

3. Our staff enjoy working together.  Have you ever been to a school where the staff were distracted and discouraged?  Great learning opportunities occur when the staff is unified and committed to working as a team.  Our staff teach a wide variety of subjects in preparation for the NSW School Certificate and the NSW Higher School Certificate (on campus only).  

Distance Education students are not eligible to receive the NSW School Certificate or the NSW Higher School Certificate.  DE students can sit for the SAT examination.

4. We use technology to build relationships and to enable learning.  Just owning a laptop or spending time on a computer doesn't guarantee learning.  We provide every student with their own email address and access to our comprehensive e-learning system (covering every subject that we offer).  Students who study on-campus can review their lessons at home with their parents.  Students who study through distance education can access their teachers through all the new technologies that they are familiar with (email, live chat, forums, blogging, podcasting) in addition to the telephone and mail.  Our students have access to great learning sites such as Encyclopedia Britannica, Mathletics, and the Rosetta Stone.

5. We have a new masterplan for our campus.  We are in the process of redeveloping our campus grounds.  Arriving on the campus is easy through dedicated bus (connected to the train station) or by car against the traffic.  The campus grounds are being redeveloped over the next ten years.

6. We offer affordable, private education for on campus and off campus students.  You'll appreciate our fee structure in comparison to other private schools.  We also offer scholarships based on need and/or full-time ministry status.  Our distance education students have a distinct fee structure making education even more affordable.

You can attend our school from any location in New South Wales!  Are you a registered home schooler who is looking for a partnership and more flexibility in your lifestyle?  Are you are student in the school system who is struggling to keep up with the program or suffering from bullying?  Our Distance Education program is the largest non-government program in the state.  Our e-learning system connects you to our staff and other students.  Our learning programs are flexible and they are fully customisable.  Our Residential school programs focus on the areas of Technology, Creative & Practical Arts, and PDHPE so that you receive a well-rounded program.  We also offer carnivals and year-round excursions.  You'll be a part of a vibrant school community without borders as a member of Australian Christian College: Marsden Park.
